Supercool – white linen trousers

Following along in trouser mode, here’s a quickie. I’ve wanted to make a pair of white linen trousers for the longest time. I once had a pair which I think came from Marks and Spencer’s many years ago. I wore them until they fell foul of my chubby thighs and I eventually mislaid them somewhere. I’ve been meaning to re-create a pair ever since.

I used the same PatternLab block as for my red pair shown recently. This pair by comparison is very simple. They just have slash pockets, patch pockets on the back and no embellishments on the waistband. Just a simple pair of white linen trews. This is another one of those makes that I just dived into and it was done before I thought about recording it, so sorry no progress pics, all you get is me enjoying the balcony of our Greek hotel room.

White linen trousers are just as fabulous as I remember and I think this is an absolute clothing hero and must-have for every wardrobe.

What are your wardrobe heroes? What should no wardrobe be without?

Thanks for dropping by,

  1. Wow, those look so fire!!! I really need to get back to sewing soon — I left my machine with friends on the other side of the ocean in the last move. 😦 You’re so inspiring — bookmarked these pants!
